Betty Matthews is the artist being highlighted this week. She hails from Gananoque and creates magic on canvas! This Week's Featured Artist 
 Jennifer Lawton, pictured in the post below creates oil paintings based on photographs she takes to emphasize "up close and personal" aspects of people and objects. Her paintings explore the ability of light to reflect and refract, creating both enhanced and representational images. Jennifer enhances some details and sublimates others to create a "story" in the painting. She has been creating multi-media pieces since 1984. Much of her work is theme driven and she demonstrates extraordinary skill in combining gemstones, pearls, crystals, precious metals, resin etc. to create one of a kind pieces.
